Upper and Lower Granite Cottage

If you require accommodation for up to 14 people then you can rent the whole of Granite Cottage (upper and lower parts). This detached house is divided into two self contained parts offering extremely flexible and comfortable for large family holidays.

From September 2011 we are pleased to announce a new 6 person outdoor hot tub will be installed at Granite Cottage. This exciting new luxury feature will allow guests to luxuriate and enjoy a well earned soak after outdoor extertions in the Cairngorms National Park.

Sleeping up to 14 people and set in large grounds, Granite Cottage has been extensively renovated to an exceptionally high standard.

Weekly bookings commence at 4.00pm on each Friday and finish at 10.00am on the Friday of departure.

Lower Granite Cottage Accommodation

The lower part of the house sleeps 6+2  and offers an exceptionally high standard of accommodation with new carpets, flooring, bathrooms and tastefully modern decor.

Lounge - large sitting room with leather suite and LCD TV (FreeSat channels) and DVD player.

Dining Room - with stylish dining table and chairs seating 6 people. French doors leading out to patio and views to river. Comfortable sofa bed sleeping two people.

Double Bedroom  - another exceptionally large room with comfortable double bed, warm hollow fibre pillows/duvets and fresh linen.

Ensuite Double Bedroom - as above with double bed

Ensuite Bathroom - newly decorated with large walk in shower

Twin Bedroom - consisting of two twin beds suitable for two children or two adults.

Bathroom - with bath and shower. Freshly decorated throughout

Kitchen - fully equipped with fridge/freezer, electric cooker, dishwasher, toaster, microwave and stocked with all the plates, cups, cutlery, glassware and cooking equipment that you need for your holiday. Farmhouse table with seating for 6. High chair available.

Sun Porch - with four wicker chairs and table

Utility Room - with sink, iron and board, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Hot Tub - 6 person outdoor hot tub

Garden - one of the most appealing features of this property is its large garden to the front and rear. Here you can relax in peaceful surroundings, enjoy the morning and afternoon sun and in the evening move to the front patio to soak up the sunset. Garden furniture and table. BBQs are permitted.

Upper Granite Cottage Accommodation

The upper part of the house sleeps 6 people and like the lower part has been renovated to a very high standard. It is completely self-contained with its own entrance and is accessible by an external staircase to the rear of the property. A great feature of the upper part of the house is the two roof terraces which provide superb outdoor space in summer months.

Lounge - sitting room with TV (FreeSat channels), DVD player and iPod dock. Dining table and chairs. Patio door leading to roof terrace.

Kitchen - equipped with plates, cutlery, glass, pots etc, microwave, dishwasher, cooker, toaster and fridge.

Double Bedroom  - large room with comfortable double bed, warm hollow fibre pillows/duvets and fresh linen.

Twin Bedroom - with twin beds, warm hollow fibre pillows/duvets and fresh linen.

Bunk Bedroom - kids or adults bunk room with patio door leading to extensive roof terrace.

Bathroom - with bath and shower. Newly decorated.

Pets

Pets are allowed at Granite Cottage but we do ask owners to be responsible and not to allow animals in the bedrooms or on furniture. We also ask owners to ensure that pets sleep in their own beds and not those of the property. Please do not allow your pet to foul in garden or outside areas. As Granite Cottage is situated in a rural village please observe the country code, especially in respect of livestock and farmland.

A small extra cleaning charge of £30 per pet will be levied.

Amenities - The property is situated in the heart of Nethy Bridge with a shop, Post Office, two hotels and butcher only minutes away.

Additional information - Travel cot available on request. Bed linen and towels provided.

Damages and Power Bond

A bond for damage, electricity and oil usage will be charged at the following rate.

Lower Granite Cottage: £150
Upper Granite Cotage: £150

The electricity and oil meters will be read prior to your arrival and read on your departure. Your electricity and oil used and any damage (if applicable) will be deducted from your damage and power bond, and the remainder refunded to you within 14 days. If any damage costs exceed the Bond Payment we reserve the right to automatically charge the customer for any excess.

Electricity Charges –  11p per unit.
Oil Charges –  60p per litre.
